Auto Body Painting and Finishing
This Level II programme equips participants with the skills to perform body repair, painting, and refinishing on cars and light trucks to industry standards.
Training emphasises safe workshop practices, panel removal and repair, surface preparation, painting and refinishing techniques. It also includes effective workplace communication.
Graduates will be able to work under supervision in body shops, dealerships, or independent repair facilities.

- What is the duration of the programmes?
Each programme runs one evening a week for 12 weeks.

- Is there an age limit?
Yes, applicants must be at least age sixteen (16) to be considered for selection to most programmes. Some programmes require the student to be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

- Will I be paid while on the Apprenticeship Programme?
Yes, note that the wage paid varies according to the company which employs you. An apprentice is paid 45%, 55% and 75% of a regular employee’s pay in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.

C. Lomer Alleyne Skills Training Centre
The CLA centre is where most of the Board’s Evening programmes are held. It is known for its Agricultural and Engineering programmes. CLA is the BVTB’s largest centre and it continues to be expanded.
