Care of the Elderly
This course is designed to train participants to take care of aging persons, either on a professional basis or just to assist with aging family members. Trainees will learn how to bathe, dress and cook for elderly persons. They will also be taught how to perform CPR and basic first aid.
*Please note that applicants must be 18 years or older to be eligible to participate in this course.
Hepatitis B vaccine- All trainees in the Care of the Elderly Programme must have this vaccination to work in Care facilities. Other Vaccination Options for working with the Elderly should be discussed with the Public Health Nurse at the Polyclinic.
Applicants must be able to present a clean Certificate of Character from the Barbados Police Service.

- Who can apply for an Evening programme?
The evening programme caters to all persons, whether employed or unemployed, who want to learn a skill for employment, make extra money, or complete a do-it-yourself project, saving money by undertaking tasks they would otherwise pay for.

- Do I get a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes, once you qualify. Trainees must obtain a minimum grade of 3 out of a scale of 1-5 for each unit in the module to be certified.

All Saints Skills Training Centre
The All Saints Centre is known for its Bar and Restaurant Services, International Cooking and Garment Making programmes. It has modern cooking facilities, as well as a gazebo-styled bar and restaurant and a garment-making room equipped for the training of industrial sewing machine operators.
